The Vertical Drama Industry in Canada

Canada has always been Hollywood North, and vertical drama is proving no exception to that rule. From Vancouver, British Columbia to Ontario, Quebec and Prince Edward Island (yes, even Canada’s smallest province, best known for Anne of Green Gables), productions are thriving in ways that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.
While plenty of Canadian talent has migrated south and now sits at the forefront of California’s vertical drama boom, some of the most interesting players are building something powerful right at home.
Take Casting Director Monika Dalman. As a co-founder of the Vertical Film & Short Series Alliance (VFSSA), she is helping establish the infrastructure this industry desperately needs. Her work with Type Eh Media and the recently announced AigencyID positions her as someone to watch closely.
